Are you shopping for toys and want to pick the bes Are you shopping for toys and want to pick the best ones for your child’s development? 👀 Today’s guide is all about our favorite toys that support speech + language development from our speech therapists and fellow moms 🙌🏻 Here’s the quick tip: focus on open-ended toys — things your child can play with in lots of different ways. More possibilities = more language. Think: blocks, Magnatiles, animals, cars, dollhouses, pretend play sets, simple cause & effect toys. Interactive books like All Better are amazing too — kids love moving the bandaids, and the repeated “all better!” builds great verbal routines. And always: skip the electronic toys.
