OUR PHILOSOPHY
The children who we care for are often experiencing difficulties in doing the things that they want to do, need to do, and have to do. These children are seeking support from our experienced therapists to achieve their goals. We strive to help each child achieve their goals and to be as independent as possible in their daily lives through the use of adaptive strategies, adaptive equipment, and the achievement of new skills.
At aMAYZing Kids, we take a child-led approach to therapy which empowers our patients to decide where and how their therapy happens. As neurodiverse affirming therapists and staff, we actively adapt our treatment plans to support a child’s interests and desires to empower every child’s success in therapy and in life.
aMAYZing Kids is a non-profit pediatric clinic that strives to provide access to services for children from all backgrounds and from underserved communities.

I’ve had the privilege of working at this clinic for the past six years, and it has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. As a nonprofit pediatric therapy clinic serving children from birth through 18 years old, we are able to offer incredible opportunities, not only for the families we serve, but also for clinicians, including new graduates entering the workforce.
One of the things I love most about our clinic is the wide variety of patients we get to work with. We treat everything from early developmental delays to complex orthopedic and neurological cases, which allows us to continually grow as clinicians while providing well-rounded, individualized care. The diversity in ages, diagnoses, and needs keeps every day meaningful and engaging.
Our team is truly exceptional. We are blessed to work alongside therapists with over 20 years of experience in both developmental and orthopedic care, as well as newer clinicians who bring in the latest research and fresh perspectives. This blend of experience and innovation creates a collaborative environment where learning never stops and everyone has something valuable to contribute.
The culture here is what sets this clinic apart. We work in an environment that celebrates progress, especially the little victories, alongside our patients and their families. Working with the kids is a joy, and the support across disciplines is unmatched. Our occupational therapists, speech therapists, physical therapist, and administrative team are all incredible women who care deeply about what they do and about one another.
After six years, it’s been amazing to witness the growth of my colleagues and to grow alongside them. I’m constantly encouraged to ask questions, learn from those around me, and expand my clinical knowledge to best serve my patients, especially when their needs extend beyond my area of expertise. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce you to aMAYZing Kids, a non-profit, evidenced-based, and innovative pediatric therapy clinic located in Orange County, CA. Our clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional care to children of all abilities and from diverse backgrounds while maintaining a collaborative and fun-loving atmosphere among our staff.
At aMAYZing Kids, we are compassionate and experienced in what we do, and we take pride in becoming an important part of the lives of the families whose children we treat. We offer families a warm and supportive environment where they can learn about their child’s needs and how to nurture their child’s capacity to succeed. Our aim is to help children reach their potential by treating the whole child using techniques learned from experience and directed by evidence-based practices. We honor that each child is a member of a family unit where parents, siblings, and extended family each influence the child’s experiences. Our philosophy centers on the idea that children learn about their environment and how to exist within their environment by playing and interacting with their surroundings. We believe it is critical to make therapy as fun, motivating, and play based.
At aMAYZing Kids, our mission is to promote the legacy of Hailey Mayz Vassilaros and heal the future through meaningful therapeutic interventions. We work to continuously honor Hailey’s legacy by bringing hope, clarity, and confidence to children and their families who need our care. aMAYZing Kids is built on a strong foundation of skilled therapists, involved parents, volunteers, and donors connected through lifelong relationships. Together, with the fundraising efforts of the clinic and the associated non-profit organization, the Hailey Mayz Foundation, we support the one-on-one care of children with special needs.
At aMAYZing Kids, we strive to continually improve our state-of-the-art clinic and to create a practice model that both parents and therapists love. We value honesty and creativity and we respect the patients, therapists, partners, and communities we serve.
